Not putting anyone down, all these teams are champions. It is hard to rank them so I put them in tiers
Tier 1 (no particular order)
2003 Southwest 2005 Cardinal Gibbons 2006 Spanish River 2007 Spanish River 2009 Timber Creek
Tier 2 (no particular order) 2008 Southwest 2010 Bishop Moore 2012 Bishop Moore 2013 Lyman
Tier 3 (no particular order)
2004 Lyman 2011 Seminole Ridge 2014 Berkely Prep 2015 Bishop Moore
Once again, not trying to put down this years team, but it is a joke to say they are amongst the best ever

Honestly, I think this years Bishop Moore team should have their own tier above everyone else. They are far better than any other team in state history, numbers don't lie. I don't think you are properly informed

The best team in volleyball history has to be that 2013 Lyman team

The best team in volleyball history has to be that 2013 Lyman team I would argue that the 2012 Bishop Moore team is very close to the 2013 Lyman team in best of all time. That lyman team has no players in college, the bishop Moore team has two D1 outsides and a DI-II setter as well as libero

I think that many teams have been much more loaded talent wise than this years BM team, yet I think this team was one of the hardest working teams we've ever seen. This team truly seemed to be like brothers, I read an article that said that once they were going through a slump, they went to their coach and proposed lineup changes that he did not necessarily agree with. They said they weren't going to lose again and worked very hard to reach this goal. Although they may not have had to play DP or Lyman in the tournament, they played in the hardest district and beat one of the favorites in the quarter final match. This team is definitely one of the most deserving state champs we have had in a long time. Unlike last year's Berkeley squad with 1 outstanding player, this team won as an entire unit.

This topic is getting stupid real quick. Who from that 2013 Lyman team is playing in college?!?!
A lot has to be said about getting out of a slump and finding a way to be a champion but talent wise 2015 BM is nowhere near the top
I agree Berkeley isn't near the top either but they were not only one player, stop putting teams down to make your team look good. Each champion won in different ways. Enjoy your championship BM you earned it but stop comparing yourself to previous years

2013 Lyman Team have no college players but I think they could have all played in college if they chose to. Stash is a far better outside than all the players who signed D1 this year defensively and Offensively.

this is all based on opinion. I agree stash had very good ball control/ defense and serve receive but he was not as strong offensively

I played against stash and played with and against the guys from class of 2015. Stash is a far better outside than any of them.

Props to BM for winning. I agree they are probably one of the weakest teams to win States but they won when it counted and that is difficult to do. The came out very well in the best district in the state. Berkley was good last year but they had Dagnastino who carried that team 100%. The rest of the team was good enough to be about a .500 team. When they played in the DP tournament and got 3rd place in bronze, then win the state championship once he is healthy, he carried that team.

In my opinion, the Lyman 2013 team had 5 out of their 7 starters who could have played at a DI-II college level. Stash Zach Kenny Chad and Noah all could have done it but for different reasons they didn't. I'd also like to point out if not for Zach getting injured at the state tournament they would have very likely repeated in 2014, because even with Kyle, probably the best volleyball player in the state over the past 6 years or so, playing as well as he did, that Lyman team was just to talented. With that being said, to me they belong in the top tier of past state champions. Congrats to BM 2015, it's never easy to win a state title and they deserve it, but to me, they definitely belong in the bottom tier of former winners.
Also, from this class, Zach R. and Corey S. are both just as good if not better than Stash. Zach played behind Stash for so long and isn't the same type of vocal player/leader as Stash but he is just as good if not better volleyball wise.
