if your taking about all dade you got to mention that kid from varela. I think his name is mike and wears #4. He plays for the suns and is a hell of a player

Dade -
Coral parks got one of the top 3 setters in the county as well as prolly the best passer and smartest outsides in benji and a pretty decent middle
Southwest has Jonathan Roldan but not too many standouts besides that...but those kids can all play some volleyball and by the end of the season theyll be up there at the top end of the rankings.
Columbus has Lastra and Mike stevens def top 3 at their respective positions but a lot of athletes (it IS an all boys school) Palmetto has this Italian kid who is solid as hell. And they got a big lefty arguably one of the best rightsides in florida. there defense is solid as hell and the libero isnt scared of anything
Killians standouts are obvious Walter probably the best middle in the state and gaby arguably the top setter in dade. As well as their outside hitter, the rest of the team are just solid players that do their job well and play tough defense.
Varela does have mike but he's been playin between libero and setter...they need to make up there mind already. there a big team though.
Sunset's got borges and a big ass middle but the rest of the team is pretty weak so dont expect too much there...
I think the only locks for 1st team all dade are walter and roldan everything else is up in the air...palmetto will prolly get one whether its the italian kid or the lefty, borges deserves it but have a feeling he wont get it, and the setter is tough to decide between the coral park setter and killians.

i played with mike vivanco in middle school and we are great friends. yeah he is playing multiple positions. Mike told me that there outside hitter was out of town and he played outside on thursday. It really shouldnt hurt him as far as all dade goes caus it just shows how good of a player he is that he can play any position. he was second team last year and should be firstg this year. Any coach would love to have a kid that can play multiple positions

I agree with "South Florida" about everyone he has mentioned. I agree sunset is not as strong as they were last year. Alex Borges is setting now, so who knows about All dade. The big middle is slow but can pretty much hit over anyone. and Im impressed you didnt mention Sunset's libero. he is pretty good. probably the best one in dade.

Any coach would love to have a kid that can play multiple positions nothing against mike i know he's a good player but for a team struggling to find its identity there needs to be some consistency, so as long as he's switching between positions, Varela will never be dangerous. Although they are big and athletic, if hes not playing libero, nothing else matters bc although hes a tremendous setter, passing is really important against teams like killian and palmetto. I think Id rather have him at libero and have the mediocre setter that can run a little offense than only being able to set the corners as a great setter... besides...what are they gonna put him on all dade as...utility? gimme a break this isnt baseball...

I agree with south florida again...Mike is good but you really cant have a utility guy..yeah its good, but if he's team doesnt do anything, he wont be able to get all dade. I think he has one more year to play do, i might be wrong.
and when people talk about south florida, the top 4 teams have always been Killiank, Sunset, South West, and actually the 4th one is always an open spot for any other team, last year was coral park, i think this year might be palmetto, i might be wrong so dont take my word for it.
Walter is really good, i think he might be an underrated player right now.

isnt cardinal gibbons a top team down there too? thats why my post said dade.... gibbons is always nasty, archbishop mccarthy always has a decent team, i havent seen south broward yet but last year it was the robert ritchie show and a bunch of noobies (no offense), douglas should have a decent team this year and then in palm beach county you have park vista who came outta nowhere this past year and theyve got a great coach. and to gibbons guy who just posted, no ones talking smack man just giving credit where its due man...

Yea for south broward Robert was the main player, but he couldnt do any of what he did without his team. Yea they wernt as known, but they could all play. If He didnt have the team he did they wouldnt of made it nearly as far as they did.

u actually said from the teams down south and u named 4 teams but yea park vista isnt too good. they were in our tourny and got 3rd to last and lost to winter park which all central florida players can tell u is 1 of our lowest skools. but their coach did seem like a good coach
