Boone and Dp could be a good game, Columbus and CP obviously, Seminole Ridge and PV could be good.. Bunch of games on thursday as well. These games are good previews of whats to come next weekend at the tourney!

Sunset over Braddock in 5. Really good game to start the season but the referees were really bad.

Thanks for the result. If that game was good imagine how insane tomarrow is going to be when columbus plays at cp. Its been a great 1st day cant wait for tommarrow!!!

Who's going to win tonight?
Columbus has much better technique and ball control, but Coral Park is a way bigger and athletic team.
Passing- Columbus is much better
Hitting- Coral Park has the edge
Serving- Columbus
Defense- they are pretty even
Blocking- Coral Park hands down
In my opinion game is won with ball control so Columbus has the edge overall.

The ball was in colombus side tonight. They seem to have very good ball control and they seem to have improve together as a team. I would not want to see them with ODIO. But Colombus showed no fear tonight, but for cp you could see it in their faces. Even though i agree that they were better last year when they had odio, they still had the edge every point.
As for the post above me, Colombus dominated every aspect of it, passing blocking hitting etc.. Coral park just isn't the same anymore. They still have a great middle but thats all they have and colombus didnt let him dominate like usual. Last year they had their outside Gilbert which was pass and hit for them , which colombus just never seemed to have an aswer for. I still think coral park can come back with a better plan and put up a good fight, while colombus basks under the idea of having already won the district.
Although i have to say great win explorers!

cp did nothing good today. They were not ready today and it showed that 1st set was embarrasing they only scored like 10 pts. I dont know what happened to coral park but this team definetely doesnt look like much competition for columbus. i do feel that columbus was better last yr but they passed great and served cp off the court. GREAT JOB FOR COLUMBUS TODAY HOPE THEY CAN KEEP IT UP!! |

Do not want to be rude, Didn't CP get a section in the paper, but benefit of the doubt first game of the season, things can change from here on out, factor in the jitters and what not..Any other big games this week? Tomorrow?
To the above comment about CP having a good middle, you can have the best middle in the world but if you have no passing then you can't set him!! If CP got served off the court then how do you run your middle...I was able to see part of the game and CP had some bad passing on serve recieve!

sunset vs sw should b interesting. i would say sw but i hear one of their best players might not play (not sayin names).
killian vs palmetto should be a decent game/ close game. rivals but neither is playing at a high level yet from what i understand.
columbus destroyed cp! glad they proved me write on two accounts. cp too much talking and overrated like always and columbus might actually pull off a really good year even without odio. who knows, maybe this was just a wake up call for cp and they might turn it around, but im glad someone could shut them up for at least a few weeks till the sw/ ransom tourney.
