coral park had a terrible weekend! they couldnt pass and the setter wasnt very good. they have some size but without passing and setting that size is pretty much ineffective. they got served off the court by ransom and hieliah lol! they are overated and columbus will wipe the floor with cp all year. that game wont even be close.

It was a great overall tournament and congrats to AMHS to an impressive win overall. My biggest point of the weekend was the terrible officiating all over the tournament. virtually no doubles or lifts were called which lead to the hands of a lot of teams (with exception to AM, Spanish River) having very loose hands and bad passing habits (hands below the shoulders). A lot of the central florida refs and club refs I think will tear a lot of those teams a part if they get into the regionals of the post season.
no real surprises or upsets that I saw personally in pool play or bracket play. the gold bracket looked solid, silver bracket played out as it should have and no one cares whats below. I agree that CP and Palmetto are over rated and perhaps SW now has a bit more to prove after getting handled by Spanish River in the second game of the semi finals in the gold bracket.

did river really look that good against sw? Spanish River looked really good throughout the whole tournament up until the finals, River did play very tight with AMHS, but River had tougher games leading to the finals, Ransom vs AMHS was a joke, nothing against Ransom who was missing some guys on the second day, the first set between SW and River was very tight but river had control in the second and SW seemed to lose confidence, I saw SW play earlier this year and there lineup was different, there rightside last time I saw was in the middle, when River played Palmetto, Palmetto did not have there starting setter so it to them a while, Palmetto played River really close, from what I heard, I wasnt at Ransom on friday to see what happened with those two pools though, I mean River could have easily been a 1 seed in the tournament, but Pool C was a joke from what I have been told!

First set palmetto got killed. Second set palmetto was down n made a good run to make it close, then river ran away with it. Tough to judge em right now but hard to see them better than river just cause of one guy

I think what you both said is right and wrong, agree to disagree but any position can be hard to replace if your going from a Freshmen/Sophomore to a Junior/Senior..I mean you can have a stud OH who is a game changer and with out him your team can be reducded to nothing because you lose an all around player, same for a setter but not saying its an excuse to lost but at the same time I agree it depends on your position so I agree to disagree with both of you

Awesome tournament this weekend. Congrats to AMHS. They are the best team in the state as of right now. I don't think there are any doubts in Anyones minds about them. River very impressive as well. Top 3 in the state for sure! Not very impressed by cp. Don't know how they were in bronze... Ransom is decent but probably shouldn't have been in gold. Oviedo played really well together. One really good outside. Good supporting cast. Braddock had a great libero and a good middle and good outside. Most underrated team in the south. Great tournament. Learned a lot about a lot of teams!!!

All I have to say is that TJ's facial is the best I have ever seen. The kids face was red throughout the rest of the first game, and was still red till the end of the second. Definitely made my weekend!!!
