BUT....... Recruting is illegal and there are a lot of riles regarding transfers and sports...sorry. AMHS did a lot of cover up Big Deal if we recruited, Its not like anyone is going to beat us!! WOW, Religious school you guys should pull a BYU and suspend everyone for your state play in game! You guys I am sorry are a joke and embarrassment to what competitive sports should be, Yankees of Highschool Volleyball, Your coaches should be ashamed of this, in reference to the statement above how does a whole coaching staff get the can for the acts of one kid but AMHS is getting away with this...No class I have no respect for those kids that transfered there, no respect for that school..That school is instilling no values to the students that go there or "recruits" I am sure one phone call would do the trick, you guys don't deserve to go anywhere...And to write "Big Deal" It is a big deal you idiots, I have less respect for that team and guys, especially the coaches..but hey to beat the teams that do work hard and bust there hump I guess you have to recruit illegally or legally what ever you want to call it, but when you recruit the loop hole is student aid assisting a student to pay to attend the school, but the difference here is everyone knows what was done, A. They played club together, B. Its an obvious move that was done, oh wait your little brother goes to another School? C. Private Schools dont check your address, sorry you guys are a disgrace...

Below is the rule from FHSAA, I am a representative with Boy's Volleyball to the FHSAA and will certainly look into this issue at hand with the governing body. Policy on athletic recruiting in effect; required affidavit of compliance form now available The FHSAA Board of Directors at its June 1, 2007 meeting adopted a comprehensive revision to the Association's Policy on Athletic Recruiting. Aside from the change in the policy's name, the revision redefines athletic recruiting as "any effort by a school employee, athletic department staff member, or representative of a school's athletic interests to pressure, urge or entice a student to attend that school for the purpose of participating in interscholastic athletics." The revised policy defines who a "representative of a school's athletic interests" is, and replaces terms such as "undue influence" and "special inducement" are replaced respectively with "improper contact" and "impermissible benefit." The revised policy also establishes that contact with a student in normal community settings (i.e., casual or contact) in which their is no motive to athletically recruit the student is acceptable. The revised also requires that every student who changes or transfers schools at any time after beginning the ninth grade and the student's parents/legal guardians, as well as the principal and athletic director of the student's new school, must sign before a notary public an affidavit attesting that the student was not athletically recruited to attend that school. The affidavit must be signed for each and every change in school that occurs regardless of when the change in school occurs (including the summer period) or the reason for the change (including a physical relocation to a new address). The school cannot permit the student to participate in interscholastic athletic competition until the affidavit has been signed, notarized and submitted to the FHSAA Office. For more information, contact Associate Executive Director Denarvise Thornton in the FHSAA Office by e-mail or by phone at (352) 372-9551 ext. 340.

Well if no notary was done I hope that means auto disqual, even if they did one now it would be to late to cover there hide, AMHS is gonna get screwwwwweed!!! I am pretty sure there was contact from the players pushing them to attend there so there goes that rule, who ever posted this thank you kind sir!! As much cover up that is done still gonna get caught, Krop got caught on there way to state but despite Krop to cover everything up they eventually got investigatory and caught..

no, nothing posted on this site is worth anything to the fhsaa. and never would there be an fhsaa representative on here. they can only go by official paperwork or direct contact with school officials. period. another school has to report them...either principal or athletic director contacting fhsaa. then they will look into it. proper paperwork had to be filed for the transfer. did sta and whatever other school officially release the players that transferred by signing the necessary paperwork? the recruiting affidavit is a crock of crap because the family is always going to lie about transferring for athletic reasons...so, that is where the fhsaa has to do their investigation. remember, they must PROVE they moved for athletic reasons to rule them ineligible...and proof isn't through word of mouth. it is a tough process and takes time, so they better do it quickly before the end of the regular season ends.

RIGHT!! It is so obvious TJ went to AMHS for athletic reasons only. Point 1- he is a senior , Point B- there is no scholastic benefit at all for him to go to AMHS- TJ already had his college prior to transfer. Point 3- his brother stayed at his old school. I bet the other senior from St. Thomas has points too. It is so obvious

Okay Sports Fans and others,
Not sure what is going on here. This is old news. Two or three kids transfer (legal or illegal) to AMCHS. They are playing ball and AMCHS is having a good year. Some folks are upset, jealous, whatever that these kids did this.
FHSAA is the folks who decide if this was done legally or illegally. Since it has happend and they are playing it is obvious to me FHSAA has approved the transfer of these kids to AMCHS.
No reason to hate AMCHS or these kids. They have not cheated any of you out of anything by them going to AMCHS.
They have not won anything and there are over 120 schools that stand in their way of winning anything. If they do win it all maybe it is because several of you spent to much time on this message board complaining about it as opposed to practicing ball on the court.
Guys, everything can be decided with a ball on a volleyball court. It it can't no reason to talk about it here. This forum is about those folks who can and do play the game ON THE COURT.
I would also like add that the majority of posts in this thread are all from the same IP Address in the Miami area. 65.2.72.190 I am pretty sure it is the same person posting and trying to represent themselves as multiple people.
Okay guys, it is getting to be the exciting part of the year. Districts are shaping up and the state tourney after that....There is still a whole lot of playing to be done. Lets get excited about the game that is being played on the court!!!

st thomas recruits the kids before they get to high school, which is not illegal, it is a little fishy that 2 seniors who are pretty good at volleyball just happen to transfer to the same school. Shame on the archbishop coach who obviously has no integrity.
