Hey Guys, I neither approve or disapprove of the selection for POY. My comment posted earlier merely means that the Sentinel has been consistent in how they select POY's. The best player on the team that goes the furtherest in the tourney gets the MVP award.
Oviedo's win over LM pretty much ensured that the POY would come from their team not LM.

You have got to be kidding me? Sosa? He's not even the best player on his own team! He actually put forth effort in less than half their games and acted like a baby. That's BS! Berryhill got screwed. He was the most valuable player to his team in Seminole County. I call BS on this. CFLBaller, Not sure how many of our 27 games you saw. Every player has things they can change, and they each have good as well as bad games, but to say that Enrique was acting like a "baby" or putting forth effort "in less than half their games" is simply not true. We were very fortunate at Oviedo to have nine excellent competitors that pushed each other to play harder everyday. Our wins and losses were reflective of our effort as a team. I am as proud of Steven Vaughn as I am of Enrique Sosa, either one could have been POY in my opinion. Matt Berryhill would have made a fine choice as well, obviously I am biased to my own guys. I know Enrique received the Brighthouse award for Volleyball POY in Seminole County and we are proud of him for that. These are not conversations that we have at Oviedo or care much about. In the bigger picture, I know any of my players would have traded any award to make it to states. Hats off to those teams that did. -Valle
