Refs aren't perfect. Thats just the way it is. I am sure they missed calls. I think those that blame the refs on a loss are looking to distance themselves from the blame. It's like saying the sun was in my eyes, only somehow blaming the refs holds more validity. Sometimes you have to overcome a couple questionable calls. It's just the way it is. enough said

I agree refs arent perfect and gibbons beat STA in games 2 and 5 because they outplayed them, but in game 3 it was terrible to watch. I dont play anymore, but my kids do and I hope the reffing improves by the time they are in HS. It was just hard watching that game as everyone in the stands who knows anything about volleyball was in disbelief about the calls.

Whoever wrote this is about as smart as the bleacher I was sitting on last night. The refs controlled that whole match and I dont ever blame the refs for losing because there are so many other things that could have been done to change the outcome, BUT last night was an exception. They stink and I hope they all get fired!

It was just hard watching that game as everyone in the stands who knows anything about volleyball was in disbelief about the calls. Even with bad calls and all, they still had a chance to overcome those calls in a 5th and final game. I did not watch the match, but if Gibbons had lost game 3, don't you think the storyline for game 4 would have been a little different? Be happy the questionable calls were so early in the match and not in game 5 on the last point of the game. All this complaining is kinda like sitting in a rocking chair. A whole lot of movement and not getting anywhere.

well duh, talking about the refs isnt getting us back in the tournament, its just a shame that both district championships against gibbons we've had the same refs making the same terrible calls. gibbons is a great team and they played well wen it matterred most , but i think i speak for all broward county teams wen i say that its near impossible to get a fair game against cg especially at their home gym. its a good game but had the circumstances been different the outcome may have been as well. but good luck to cg and all the other teams.

well gibbons beat u in districts in ur gym last year so are u saying that gibbons gets calls wherever they go... come on thats such bullnuts u lost deal with it god sta for real u guys just cant say u got beat face it u can't beat gibbons in volleyball everytime u lose u just complain u got beat u got beat no matter who u blame gibbons beat u so shut up ur season is over blame whoever u want but i would blame ur lack of control especially in ur coach probably the biggest drama queen i ever saw in my life for example from the stands i saw the sta setter with both feet under the net the ref called and mike d fell out of his chair and started yelling so like i said shut up ur season is over

actually we took them to 5 games last yr without our starting middle hitter. he tore his acl in the gibbons tourney against bishop moore in the third game. so us taking them to 5 without our best player last yr, it does kind of say something doesnt it? oh and he came back this year as an outside and had about 35 kills against gibbons

That was a crazy match. That was after the BM kid got hurt in warmups and his foot was going sideways. Nasty

alrite. lets drop it. the sta-cg rivalry is over for the year. sta is 7-1 against gibbons in sports all around. volleyball is the only loss. next years a new year, nd maybe the sta guys may give em a run for their money witout austin belt nd the other seniors.
