Okay guys I am just not ready go give up on 2007-2008 just yet. Lets talk about the SURPRISE teams for this year.
Which teams came out of no where and had surprising seasons?
In Orlando me thinks
University making the districts finals was a big achievement Apopka winning districts was big
How about down south who are your teams?

sunset really surprised me...i thought they were gonna be pretty bad losing two first teamers and having no setter. but they pulled off a pretty good season, upsetting columbus getting to gmac finals, and taking southwest to 5 in district finals after losing to them in 3 both regular season match ups.
borges had a good year playing a position he's never really played (setting) and you gotta look at andrew the big middle and brian the libero. those r there top players. good job guys
pretty much everyone else knew who was going to be good the usual suspects killian and southwest...then palmetto had a great year but was expected and columbus as well...coral park had a down year adjusting to a new coach, its tough losing rob and jimmy two of the best coaches in south florida but there down year was like 15-7 still not a bad season at all...next year palmetto should pretty much clean house in dade county. and if diaz is coaching you know sw will be there too...

Ransom was a big suprise as well. Their record doesnt reflect the type of team they were this year. Much better than other years prior

douglas. took olympia. very young, a bit inexperienced I agree. Douglas is a real suprise. I don't remember them that good last year when we played them. They were so much better this year when I saw them. Are they really very "young"?

is there huge middle a senior or is he coming back....they'll be good if he is coming back and the players around him now have the experience needed to push for a state title...

ouch losing the setter is tough...but if they develop a young setter then he can have 2 years to work with him and they can get their timing to be perfect....they should be able to build a team around him for next year and the year after...

The last game I think was 15-11. If they are young tey could be really good next year. DEFINITELY A SURPRISE TEAM

I agree, cooper city took everyone down here for surprise -good for them. It was definetly a learning experience for those teams. But I would say Chaminade and South Broward are going to be back!!!
