cause tc wolf asked:
southwest is loosing both outsides, one middle and lib... but their better middle in my opinion is returning, their right side should be sick next year (probably moved to outside) and their setter is only a soph. sometimes they run a 6-2 and when they do their other right side is coming back who will probably be another outside next year. that might not sound like they should be that good next year, but southwest always gets their kids 100 times better from year to year and returning 4 starters is alot for them! they won states in 2003 and graduated everyone, yet in 2004 were strong favorites to repeat, loosing 15-13 in the final four to northeast. and every year since, graduated all but two starters i believe. mauricio is the best coach in the state and the players always return to help the new kids. great program!
palmetto is graduating 9 but most of them bench players. the key guys they lost were the lefty right side, but the other right side was a soph and should step it up next year and fill dannys shoes. the italian outside is graduating but their other outside flys and got more side outs for them this year and he is returning. this years lib will probably fill the other outside spot just fine! their better middle was a soph but the other middle was a senior who probably will be replaced by their 6'4 jv middle. the jv setter will run a 5-1 next year and be the best setter in the county, he was just not experienced enough this year to be on the varsity level but is much more of a pure setter and now has the experiece going 21-0 and probably going to set for the sons. the jv freshman lib has the most natural skills for the game and is fast as hell, should fill in nicely at the lib position next year. will have a few other nice utility/ back up players next year. should be a fun battle for number one in the county or even state next year between these two teams
