Aren't SW Columbus and Saint Brendan down a bunch of starters from last year?

I saw this article in the Miami Herald. Here is just the beginning ... www.miamiherald.com/sports/high-school/article63271127.htmlBY ANDRE C. FERNANDEZ a1fernandez@miamiherald.com Archbishop McCarthy came close to snapping South Florida’s state championship drought in boys’ volleyball last spring. But after taking a brief lead over Bishop Moore in the state final, the Mavericks ran out of gas and lost. But they enter this season as the clear favorite to the Orlando powerhouse that won its third state title since 2010. Not sure the boys at Bishop Moore would agree Archbishop McCarthy are the "clear favorite" going into this year. The DP tourney this weekend should give us a glimpse of who is the favorite. Either way glad to see boys volleyball getting some press.

Ransom will come out of the bottom but they'll lose to the winner of that brutal top half

Too bad for the Central Florida teams as only one team will make it to the final four. As Central Florida has been so dominate winning 6 of the last 7 state titles.

If you're going to the DP tourney today and tomorrow, here are the best games to watch hour by hour:
Frrday 5:00 PM - 2. Arch Bishop McCarthy vs. Timber Creek 1. Olympia vs. Lake Nona Rematch of semi-final states from last year, and if Luke is out as reported for Olympia, that should be a very intriguing game.
6:00 PM - 2. Palmetto vs Winter Park 1. Lyman vs. Boone Lyman lost first match of year while Boone swept DP in 3.
7:00 PM - 2. Olympia vs. Boone 1. Bishop Moore vs. Winter Park Both of these matches will be exciting (especially for a 1v4) and Cardinal Gibbons vs. Park Vista will be worth a glimpse as well.
8:00 PM - 2. Lyman vs Lake Nona 1. Mourning vs. Timber Creek Depending on the 6 PM results, these teams could all be fighting for Gold
Saturday 9:00 AM - 2. DP vs. Park Vista 1. Lake Nona vs. Boone This match up could easily decide who's in Silver or perhaps Gold!
10:00 AM - Olympia vs Lyman 1. Arch Bishop vs. Mourning
1 vs 2 should be fighting to move on to Gold bracket, but these both have possibilities of 2 teams fighting to stay alive in Silver.
Enjoy!!

DP looks weak, don't think they beat Park Vista or Gibbons, maybe Berkeley

Most interesting pool will be pool B, really thought Lyman would take that easily but if they can't beat Oviedo they'll have a tough time against Olympia

BM v Winter Park is going to be exciting? Is Winter Park going to be any good this year? What do they have?

BM v Winter Park is going to be exciting? Is Winter Park going to be any good this year? What do they have? Relative to the other 1 v 4 match ups, this will be a competitive game. WP has 6-8 kids who play for various clubs (mainly OBV & Torerros).
