There are a few places to play in Miami. Unfortunately no gyms that I know about.
Sand Courts at Coral Reef Park - SW 152 Street. Usually Pretty Full
Hard Courts - North Trail Park on 780 NW 127Ave just North of Belen. Courts are in excellent condition - not played enough.
Beach Sand Courts - South Beach. Many games going on buy can usually find an available court.

There is a new addition to the South Florida sports community. Athletic Republic (www.athleticrepublicmiami.com) is the industry leader in performance sports training, with programs appropriate for athletes of all ages to realize their athletic potential. Based on over 20 years of ongoing scientific research, our programs are tailored to meet the demands of athletes with proven results. Overall, Athletic Republic has trained over 500,000 athletes from amateurs to pros. Worldwide, there are 160 facilities in the Athletic Republic network(www.athleticrepublic.com), with three facilities in the state of Florida including our independently-run franchise new to the South Florida market which began operating in early August.
Starting every Saturday for the next 12 weeks from August 22 - December 5, we will be hosting a Volleyball Hitters Club open to all groups and ages. This program is designed for all volleyball players looking for conditioning and hitting mechanics refinement. Players will train in a small group environment for up to two hours every Saturday. This program will consist of three important components; dynamic warm-up and cool-down, biomechanical analysis and volleyball skill development workouts.
