So the question was a florida top 10 not a south FL top 10. And BM at the top? Are you kidding?

I like some of these but I think some are still too south-biased.. Like LM should be much higher in most of these. The north has won the last two state championships! More love to central florida.

I think river has a solid team overall, brad the outside for OBV 17s is improving alot, they have 2 decent middles, cody the other outside is decent too, i think they will end up at states pretty easily. and for BM i think they have a lot to prove this year losing all that they did.

How good is SW gonna be this year? Didn't they lost their setter, outside, and right side. I know that they usually re-stock with talent every year, but do u guys think that they will be able to contend yet again this year? Another thing, Bishop Moore should be around 10... not 1 or 3 like some of u guys have said. I think River is around 7 and Wellington should be solid again this year. Also, does Seminole Ridge have enought hitting, defense to contend?

I am not sure "pretty easily". River will probably play Douglas. Granted Douglas lost 2 really good players, Big Red (when he played) and Jay, but they still have a pretty good team. River is probably better, but not "easily".

Well who does douglas have other than aaron right now? they lost all of their hitters other than aaron and have no setters still, they ran a 6-2 with jay and aaron. I really cant see them replacing jay jesse and red. I think river will walk into states.

a few points to make...
sw is struggling at setter this year. they had the same setter take them to the state finals 3 years in a row. but they do have very good hitting & blocking, and good passing & defense. their coach is the best coach in the state hands down! they will work hard with their setters and will be back among the top 3 teams in the state like they seem to always be.
central florida has won the state championship the past two years now. congrats, two very good teams in tc and bm. however, they will not put a team out this year to compete at that level. the south this year has much better teams and therefore should have more teams ranked in the top 10 and ranked higher in the top 10.
river will probably be at states this year. but does that mean they should be ranked high in the top 10? no! just cause they have an easy way to states and nobody to compete against (except for a rebuilding douglas team) that doesnt mean they should be ranked that high in the top 10. do they deserve to be in the top 10? probably, maybe, but this is all speculation and we will see what happens during the season.
the way i assess my top ten isnt on how good a teams record will be this coming year its how high of a level they will compete at. teams that have a weak district/ schedule should have a good record. and some teams have an easier road to states. i think how a team does in a tournament and against good competition dictates how good a team really is.
1. AMHS 2. Southwest 3. Columbus 4. Berkely 5. Lake Mary 6. Palmetto 7. Coral Park 8. River 9. BM 10. Seminole Ridge/ Wellington
