i dont get it. someone please explain to me why everyone from south florida thinks it is always more dominant. u guys have 2 good teams a year and everyone else is garbage. last year it was river and coral park, gibbons was ok at best. the only reason u guys think ur better is because 6 south teams go to states and only 2 go from cfl. seriously, palmetto was supposed to be good and they got dominated by bm at the spring sting. so please explain why south florida is better. wow, gibbons is good this year.....who else?

because Southwest, Killian, Sunset, Coral Park, River, Gibbons, McCarthy and Northeast were powers and in most cases still are. the north had a few good teams but no powerhouse programs aside from Creek and Moore... and im not talking about one good year, were talking the past five years...

southwest - good two years ago, had 2 good players on that team, hasnt produced anything since
gibbons - ur only valid response
killian - when was the last time they did anything, they cakewalked into states last year. they had that sedrick kid and now a big middle....ok, not a dominant program
mccarthy - PLLLLEASE. honestly, u say the past 5 years, when has mccarthy been good in the past 4?
northeast - hasnt been good since keawe and john left, nothing since
river - good program until it loses 2 kids. they are gone, program is still decent
these teams u named have not done anything except for gibbons in the recent years. maybe they just seem good to south kids bcuz thats the vball u see. gibbons is the only true dominant program and river was while gus and kyle were there. none of the other teams have produced.
timber creek, bm, lake mary, dp (up until this year), lyman, and now we welcome olympia.

north florida has 1 state championship and its a BS one... the south has them all... and go ahead and ask anyone who knows anything about volleyball how good of a program killian has. southwest is the strongest program in the state hands down. ill give you bishop moore because they had the iandolos run through there. i played with and against mike, saw mark play a few times. mccarthy went to states last year. river still hasnt done what most teams do when they lose 3 studs, which is fold up and cry. timber creek hasnt really had too much since wolfe left but they are always talked about in having a chance... Lyman is a joke. olympia is a new program making a name for themselves. and DP was good last year... i had never heard of them up until then. killian put out 4 players who played for SoFla. you go ahead and ask your boys at GOLD how good we were...

dp has always been good. and of course u cant compare south vs central sense u guys have like 4 times as many teams and we can only have to teams go to states

im not saying DP hasnt been good. but im talking teams that people always talk about. the "Powerhouses" not just the good teams. because here in miami there are teams like columbus and varela who are good, always have been, but will never make any real noise when it counts... DP last year had a great season. their outsides, fluffball middle, and setter were all awesome.

I have honestly never heard a thing about Killian with the exception of Shedrick when I was a sophomore and then their run last year. Southwest had that good lefty and two decent middles, they were good for one year. Other than that, I have never seen them represent any other time. We understand that they may have been above average during your playing time but there are other teams that do more. For example: 2 years ago Timber Creek was about the 5th best team in CFL and went down to one of the South tournaments. I want to say the Royal Palm? Undefeated throughout the tournament. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying South teams are bad like someone was saying. I'm just agreeing in that there is in no way, shape, or form, any domination at all. And Bishop Moore was better than just having the Iandolo brothers "run through there".

bm has always easily been top 4 in central fl. never can any team take it easy on them and xpect to win. they are a great program and they gonna still be a great team in the years coming

southwest won states in 03' lost in the state semi's in 04' lost to my team in the regional final in 05' and we went on to get third, and 06' they went to states... so i dont know how you can say they were only good for one year...
and killian had shedrick forbes, tyler stevens, ricky diaz, and myself... we all played club for SoFla... which dominated its time in florida, and beat o-gold more than they beat us. and they were freaking nasty...

I know SoFla was dirty. We played you when we were 16. I was unaware that both you and Tyler went to Killian. I also forgot that SW beat Cypress in the finals. My apologies. When you were on Westminister they should have let us play you in a consolation match for third. Would have been better than Gibbons rolling Chaminade in the Finals. Just curious, why did you both transfer?

he went his junior year. but he went there his his whole life and didnt really like killian too much. there were a lot of reasons why i left but it was mainly about the chemistry issues that werent going to be solved and i had to make a decision based on what i needed to do...
