yes it will, things can change depending on if they win their districts, etc. If any of these teams wins states they could possibly bump up a few spots.

I think all the teams on that list from Cali and Illinois would mop the floor with our Florida teams. Cali ball is on a whole other level.

i thought that too but then i watched some highlights of the cali games and tj and christian are better hitters, i think florida could put a pretty good fight against cali and Illinois

Florida Volleyball is the biggest joke I have ever seen. I played a few years back and 99% of these teams wouldn't stand a chance vs the teams from 03-07, there is no debate here that is just fact.
And also the way that some of these players carry themselves and think they are good is just ridiculous and sad. I was watching a team in Orange County and the way they were after getting a kill vs a team that is young and not a volleyball school by any-means was just disrespectful.
Once some of y'all get back to reality and realize that Florida volleyball is a joke then that will make you a much better player, guaranteed most schools in Cali would rape Florida. Florida is just in a big slump with producing players, you have a few here and there that are good, but no great teams which back in the day you would have teams with more than one great player. Hopefully it gets back to where it was, but it is truly a joke to watch HS volleyball.

^ wrong. There are some great players in Florida. Look how MVA did last year (17's) in open JOs against some "cali" teams. I expect OBV (18's) to even do better this year. I believe this is the best Florida teams have done.

Those HS teams that are very strong have talented club players such as Seminole, AMHS, BM, River, etc. However, put the average high school team up against any club team in the state and it would be a joke let along putting any of our HS teams up against a HS team from Cali.

Jordan... you are a young kid and you obviously do not know much. Palmetto doesn’t know what states looks like so saying that any Palmetto team is the best ever is absolutely ridiculous. Some of Florida's best teams are: Spanish River 06 07 South West 03 06 08 Lyman 08 Columbus 06 08 Killian 08 Gibbons 05 Westminster 05 You are young and do not know much... Didn't you guys lose to Columbus yesterday, doesn’t say much about your level of completion. Can't forget Pace 06, Timber Creek and Dr. Phillips

Lake Howell, beat Dr. Phillips, BM, and Timber Creek in 2006 just an FYI and took River to 5 losing 16-14 probably the best state final game to be played to date.
Pace was not good in 06, not good at all, they had Evan who is ridicoulous and he carried that team and anyone that played or saw the games back then knows this.

you guys are all wrong....the best volleyball players in florida played back in the 90s until about 2000 or so. those guys did not have all the club options nor the luxury of a state competition for boys volleyball. they are the ones who paved the way for you younger guys now. since them, have we heard much about any guys playing top level ball in college or even going on to the pros and what not. i am talking about guys like george roumain, robert tarr, jeff soler....etc. those guys didn't have the opportunity to have coaches who knew much about the game so they got by on pure talent and athleticism. it was until college that they received proper training. the last guy who was a college threat was cj macias. i guess you could say that big red will one day be solid as long as he keeps his nose clean. but it is disappointing to not see more of you younger guys making waves at the college level. i think it is time for you guys to "man up" and take your games to the next level. and quit bashing each other on this website and try to promote each other so that the winner in the end is the state of Florida.

I believe there was also a guy named Evan Romero that played D1 recently. Think he might have been a decent player, look him up. You might find that hewas a major contributor to Stanfords National championship, as well as one of the best players in the nation....

Ummmmmm CJ Mathias played for IPFW and led them to the NCAA Final Four, Gustavo Cintron was pretty good as well played at Lewis.. Some players as well have gone on to play professional volleyball from the state of florida in the last 10 years... Cardinal Gibons Outside Mark was nasty good but he stayed on the Beach cicuit after he graduated..but regardless he was disgusting!

i wouldn't say that gustavo did anything considering he never really played at lewis and was kicked off of the team. i remember him at spanish river along with kyle friend. i always thought he had way more potential than friend, but from what i heard, he had a ton of attitude issues that held him back. what a waste of talent.
and if you are talking about mark vanzwietten, i highly doubt that guy would have done well at the high level of ncaa indoor. he is a good beach player, but not big enough to do well in d1. there is a big difference hitting against a solo block on the beach and hitting against a huge double and even sometimes triple block indoors.
and you definitely have to include evan in that group. he was a good player. i wouldn't say best in the nation, but a really strong player in his last season.
