i agree^^, i really don't think oviedo has any chance against bm, they have horrible defense,, ,and an average offense, and bm hasn't faltered all year so idk why they would now

I can kinda agree. I dont think Oviedo will win. However, they are not a bad team. They beat Palmetto and Chaminade and then Lake Mary in districts. Bishop Moore is just the better team.

did you see that they beat Chaminade 25-11 and 25-10? And if you watched that game at the SW Tourney (I was there with my team) the officiating was a complete joke. Not to make excuses, they lost but it should not be taken into account

Sure they beat Palmetto in 3 (without their starting setter) and then advanced to the Silver bracket finals to lose to Braddock in 3. So does that mean Braddock deserves to be playing in states? And I was at the game watching, and im pretty sure it was a fair called game against braddock, from where i saw it. They're a great team.... they're just giving them too much hype.

First off I want to say great game to both teams Palmetto and Southwest Miami for one hell of a match, Congrats to Palmetto for making it to states for the first time in its history. This match lived up to all the hype and went down to the wire. Southwest had complete control in the 5th set and Palmetto came roaring back. It stinks that both of these great teams can't both go to states. A lot of respect to both teams for showing good sportsmanship after the match and throughout the match as well. Good Luck to Palmetto at States and Columbus, represent South-Florida for us! Columbus steamed rolled the T-breds in there game.

Columbus steamed rolled the T-breds in there game. true. great game and congrats to palmetto for coming back. sw was up 13-9 in the last set but couldn't close. shame that one of those programs always gets knocked out before states while a weaker program advances from the north most years (this year is a little different with columbus having a very strong season). on another note, it was unfortunate to see how poorly officiated the match was. really, REALLY bad - up ref making lift calls on plays taken with forearms and closed fists, some on GREAT digs by both teams. and what was the Killian coach doing as an official in that game? is he still coaching or retired? if he's still coaching that's crazy. he coaches in the same district as palmetto, and of course has had his share of rivalry matches against sw as well. He really had no business being an official in that game, even if he was a line judge.
