First off I want to say great game to both teams Palmetto and Southwest Miami for one hell of a match, Congrats to Palmetto for making it to states for the first time in its history. This match lived up to all the hype and went down to the wire. Southwest had complete control in the 5th set and Palmetto came roaring back. It stinks that both of these great teams can't both go to states. A lot of respect to both teams for showing good sportsmanship after the match and throughout the match as well. Good Luck to Palmetto at States and Columbus, represent South-Florida for us! Columbus steamed rolled the T-breds in there game. true. great game and congrats to palmetto for coming back. sw was up 13-9 in the last set but couldn't close. shame that one of those programs always gets knocked out before states while a weaker program advances from the north most years (this year is a little different with columbus having a very strong season). on another note, it was unfortunate to see how poorly officiated the match was. really, REALLY bad - up ref making lift calls on plays taken with forearms and closed fists, some on GREAT digs by both teams. and what was the Killian coach doing as an official in that game? is he still coaching or retired? if he's still coaching that's crazy. he coaches in the same district as palmetto, and of course has had his share of rivalry matches against sw as well. He really had no business being an official in that game, even if he was a line judge. The Killian coach used to be a referee for the international professional leagues. The guy is legit. Who was the up ref though?

I agree with everything you said exception about the Killian line judge, His name is Clinton Reid, He is one of the best coaches in South-Florida, no he does not coach anymore, if anyone should have been an up ref it should have been him, Don't you think he had rivalry matches with both teams, hes an official because he doesn't coach anymore he may help his old school out from time to time, but honestly I was there the calls were awful but Reid should have been the up ref. He would have called it fair regardless what both teams would have said about calls he would have made, every coach at one point in the game will get mad at the referee for screwing up. But I think in my opinion he should of been the up ref.
