I believe the top 2 players in Broward are:
TJ Jurko- AMHS- I saw TJ play a few times during the year in tournaments..... He is a heavy hitter and good back row player...He is consistent...TJ is surrounded by good players on the AMHS team including last years POY Eric K. and Corey M.
Aaron Klein- Douglas- I have seen Aaron play a few times also, including last night against River...... He is a very good player that hits very well from anywhere on the floor..... Aaron was a "one-man show" last night......and really impressed me in his playing..... and the running Douglas's very young team. They did well against River.
Me personally.....Even though both could be Broward POY....based upon what I have seen..and especially last night...my vote is for Aaron

Even though I agree that TJ and Aaron should be the top candidates for POY, I believe that TJ will have the edge. In the past the POY for most counties are players on the team that went the furtherest. In this situation AMHS is in States and Douglas is not.

This is an interesting topic. I know both of these players very well, and have great respect for both of them. In my opinion, Aaron Klein deserves Player of the Year. T.J. and Aaron probably share about the same stats, with T.J. having a few more aces since his serve his stronger, and a few more digs based on the position he played. They are very close to each other in GPA, both over a 5.0. They also are great competitors and display sportsmanship on and off the court. To me, player of the year shouldn't go exclusively to someone based on how far their team goes. It should be based on what impact has that person had on the success of their team. T.J. is surrounded by 6 other quality players. Every person on that team has played at least two years of club volleyball, most of them more than that. T.J.'s team has two other Senior starters and the rest juniors. Aaron has two starters who have played club. Aaron's team was made up of 2 juniors, 3 sophomores, and a freshman starting. Although T.J. had great stats and helped Archbishop get to where they are, most likely, they could have gotten there without him. Without Aaron, Douglas might not have won a district title or taken a game from River in the Regional Final. I agree with the post above that stated after watching the River regional Aaron displayed that he should get player of the year. As stated numerous times, T.J. is a great player and will do well at N.J.I.T. I just think Aaron's impact on his team should be weighed heavily when this decision is made. Unfortunately, all articles in the paper point towards T.J. Congrats to both of them on great high school volleyball careers, both in high school and in club.
