Tonight at the Jungle Queen tournament at Cardinal Gibons Douglas (Parkland) took out the only undefeated team left in the state Olympia (Orlando) in a stunning defeat in 2 straight. Could this Douglas team be the better team? Could they have a chance to compete in states? Let's see how they do tomorrow. One odd thing happened at the end of the game. The Olympia coach started getting in an argument with the Cardinal Gibons tournament director and she was yelling for them to get out. Anybody know what happened? flsandman -

not that im counting his stats, but i would imagine he had less than 10 kills. our middle (big red/shane welch) wrecked him the whole night. he made #9 look useless

i dont think that gibbons15 sets for big red for club. i play for the 16s and i dont think we have anyone from gibbons, at least not to my knowledge. but i know boomer from pv sets for the team big red is on.

First off, hats off to Douglas... they played very well. They played like the #5 team. No amount of bad calls can take anything away from them. Congrats.
#9--Ian had 13 kills in the 2 games, so I wouldn't use the word useless.
At the end of the game a parent from OHS got in an argument with the tournament director over some random comments made at the end by another team. The head coach for OHS was coming to square things up with the director. He was ending the issue and apologizing for it, not the reason for it beginning.
Again Douglas played a great match, it is a shame that happened at the end.

I was at the whole match and ian on olympia really wasnt set all that much he is a great player but douglas had more fun and were way more intense. the whole thing after the match was ridiculous and shouldve never happened it was just a parent who thought that a few gibbons players were acting rude not as big of a deal as it turned out to be. great match though
