9.2.4 Participation in Non-School Athletic Activities
anyone transfering to a new school really needs to look up this rule in the fhsaa handbook.
If you transfer to a school you are not zoned for, you will be made to sit out a year if it is found out that a coach or parent had any contact in a club team.
Rita Crocket who coaches in North fl is having a really big problem with this right now. she coaches club and is a high school coach at a private school. any incoming freshman who played for her club is being told that they must sit out a year.

This is really a non-issue. Look what happen last year. Players both transferred from a public school (Cypress) and private school (St. Thomas) into McCarthy. Both were seniors and it was obvious they transferred for one purpose only- Volleyball. Nothing could be proven and done. Both players played. This would be the same for this year. Since McCarthy's coach is not involved in Club it is a non-issue...again. Sorry

When it comes to private schools there is no zoning. Only public schools are zoned for certain areas. Private schools can have kids from whereever as long as they have a way to get to school. And schools like STA provide bussing. AMHS doesnt have a bus system so that zoning rule wouldnt apply here.
