okay, let's be honest with the match-ups, middles outsides go to columbus, libero and setter are questionable due to columbus' new setter and new setter for sw. so that is a toss up. i do believe that sw will win but not by much. the columbus backside is good but the kid that goes in to pass for him is just horrible. good match to watch this year.

Columbus won tonight in three sets looked very strong even without their starting middle. The second set was close but Columbus was able to close out. Scores were about 25-12 25-23 25-17. These games, however, do not mean a single thing. Southwest day one is nothing like southwest come playoffs. Mauricio will develop the individuals into a single unit. Columbus needs to push even harder and refuse to settle just because they beat a district rival. Great game strong performances from southwest rightside and libero. Also great performances from Columbus's setter rightside and outsides. It was a fun game to watch and I look forward to seeing this match up later in the year.

This was a good game, southwest wasn't playing their best. They could beat Columbus but choked in the pressure. Good performance from outsides on both teams. Surprisingly the other starting middle for Columbus looked really good, really surprised me, was not expecting him to contribute that much to the team. I see him only getting better and I would've liked to see them set him maybe a bit more. The opposite for Columbus also had a great game. I see a different playoff game though with southwest being more united and coming out strong
