I wonder how 3 of some of the top teams in florida will compete against a team like brother rice from chicago. columbus bm and bp i believe are all ranked in the top 50 in the nation and brother rice is not. that will be embarrassing if brother rice wins the tourney. any thoughts?
which florida team will go the furthest? win the tourney?

Never thought I would ever come to BM's defense, but.... I originally posted against Park Vista's awful seeding with Lake Mary and SR in the same pool while PV was a number one seed.
I think the seeding at BM's tournament is fair. The Spring Sting tournament is dead, 8 teams can only give you a limited number of combinations.
Columbus is a number one seed and Berkely Prep is a solid team as well, the thing is that, BM has already defeated BP and they are in the same district. They will play again in their district championship and last time the game went to 5. I am okay with Columbus and BP being together. I know that DP has been winning as of late, but honestly they are still not that good.
Palmetto is traditionally a strong team and district champion or contender. Even is a bad year they should do well and I believe they went to states last year. If Brother Rice is down this year they may have asked to be in BM's pool as well. I think the seeds are good.

BM sucks... Tom recruits.... The tourney seeds suck.... It is so funny that everyone just loves to hate on BM. I have a good idea lets just see what happens this weekend. I am sure if BM loses the world will be happy. I am also pretty sure that if BM wins this weekend there will be some stupid reason why they won. Let's face it BM has been a premier program in the state for awhile. Maybe we should try to figure out how they do it and model them.

Berkeley wins it all! Beats columbus in 4. Bishop Moore beats brother rice to get third. Berkeley beat bishop Moore in 2 to get to final after Columbus won pool in morning. Fantastic tournament!!!

Tampa got very lucky, Columbus did not look themselves in the championship. Their setter was losing it, and very poor choice of sets. Did not set the middles anywhere near enough throughout the game. I expect adjustments to be made asap. bishop Moore was off their game, you could tell they were tired and Christian was tired. Expect them to take care of them in districts.

How did Berkeley get lucky when they barely lost to BM in 5 earlier in the season and showed in the tournament that they are as good or better than both BM and Columbus by winning the whole tournament. They have a great setter outside and middle along with a lot of good role players. I look for them to if they win districts to go all the way. The best 3 teams in the state were in this tournament in my opinion.

Haha how can u say Berkeley got lucky?! They played their asses off and deserved to win this tournament. I do agree that Columbus and Bishop Moore may have been off there games. Maybe it was because Berkeley played well and caused them to do so? Definitely the top 3 teams in state here its gonna be an exciting finish to the season.

Good teams force their opponent to be "off their game"
Props to Berkley

Saying that one team is more tired than another is an excuse. They all played the same number of games and had the same time schedules. In fact Bishop Moore gave themselves the easier schedule.
Berkeley Prep won fair and square. And BP was missing a starter and two other key players.
