People ask for predictions. Why? They mean nothing. The better teams and the teams that put the work in will ultimately come out on top. This year, there really isn't a powerhouse team. What we have is a handful of equally matched teams that each have an equal chance of winning this years state title. What it will come down to is hard work and the desire to win.

Jupiter defeated previously undefeated Palm Beach Gardens in a District showdown last Wednesday. 25-19, 25-16, 20-25 & 25-13. Clayton had 33 kills.

Lyman is so over rated. They loose every year when it counts. They won a garbage Jungle Queen tournament. They will not win states. Go Wildcats

they might have won a garbage tournament but they won each set with an average difference of 9 points. Lyman is winning states this year. their outsides and setter are nasty.

The jungle queen tournament was not that competitive the only real match they had was against a one dimensional gibbons team. But when Lyman is playing well I don't think anyone in the state can stop them, but they don't always play like that, they can be very inconsistent with the level of their play, but their lows are still much better than most teams in the state. I don't think they will have any more real tests in their schedule, except for lake mary, and maybe winter park. I truly believe that they don't know how good they can be, because they can win states. To "Joke" it seems like you are a jealous winter park player, it's true past Lyman teams have failed in the big games but this group has never really been in a big game, so we can't judge them based on past years teams.

Haven't been in a big game together? This is the same group from last year. The team us to be nasty in club then they sucked this year and again they will blow it when it comes down to crunch time. Lake Mary will beat them in a few weeks don't you worry

Mr. or Mrs. Joke, hopefully youll be able to back up your talk. winter park has always had that to go guy in the past, with it being the meyer brothers, ricardo, and james....those players just named, were high level players that could carry a team far in the state tournament, hopefully this year you guys have come up with a to go guy that can get kills when it really counts.... cant rely on those powerful hitters you used to have. cant wait to see that game, i am sure many schools from all around will be watching that match....as the rest of the people watching it on tv....dont choke

Great crowd for the first televised Boys Volleyball game in central Florida as Winter Park visited Lyman. Bright House Sports had the full crew to televise live and the fans from both teams were extremely loud to generate an electric atmosphere for the players. Love to see all of the wonderful support for boys volleyball.
Lyman dominated first set (25-14) while WP struggled early with many hitting errors. Second set WP stepped up with a number of kills and took advantage of Lyman errors to win 25-23.
The rest of the match was much better play on both sides as the teams settled down from the lights and cameras. Lyman won third set 25-16. Fourth set Jordan (11 kills) and Evan (13 kills)had many big kills and their surprising #11 Middle played very efficiently the whole night. Winter Park won 4th set 25-22.
In the fifth set Zach and Stash took control and cruised to easy 15-8 victory. Noah ended with 50 assists for Lyman spreading the ball around for the whole team all night. Stash had 25 kills and Zach with 17. Kenny and Kyle also played well for Lyman with key kills and blocks in the middle.

Spread the ball around? One player having half of the kills isn't spread around. And 42 of the 50 kills were from the outside.

How many attempts did he have. If they all had about the same attempts its a moot point.
