lets try something here. lets get a pre-season all-area (central florida, broward, south, etc.) 1st and 2nd teams, and lets see thoughts an an all-florida preseason 1st and 2nd team, with some honorable mentions. format: 3 outsides 2 middles 1 opposite, setter, and libero.
if in the event there are 2 insane opposites in an area, in can be 2 opps., 2 outsides.

OH- 1. Marshal 2. Caleb 3. CJ MB- 1.Mikke D 2. Ben C Opp. Ian Lib. Dan G Setter Kevin R Very nice list. This could be the way it will be at the end of the season. I would add Kevin from Lyman as the 2nd setter.

Split it by counties to make it a little easier.

ehh idk about quaid over kevin from lyman. kevin from lyman is very underrated even though i agree quaid is a very strong setter. i would say they're about even kevin from lyman maybe having a little more consistancy

nah quaid is the more consistant 1. if you watched kevin during winter he was pretty inconsistant. and quaid has better hitters to set. and quaid run a much better offense and is a better decision maker. if you remember lyman vs olympia in regionals kevin set cam more then any1 in that 4th game and its hard for a 5 foot 6 guy to hit past ian.

i am from central fl and i do agree that angel is the best player in the state hands down. but sadly it goes to the best player on the team that wins states and he wont win states so i agree he is the best player but he wont win it

The situation in the Olympia match was a coaching decision, not Kevins. If you watched kevin during the season he was right up with Kevin R. He is definitely better than Quaid. And your hitters don't determine how good a setter is - the setter determines how good the hitters will be. And as for that, The Lyman hitters were better than BM's, but Mikee D. was out with an injury. This year, it's a toss up. Mikee and CJ are about even and adding Chase to Lyman kinda puts them a little ahead. But it's a long way to the season and alot can change.

Chase is HORRIBLE!!! BM has Mikee Ryan Christian Matt S Will S Kyle S and Dan G libero and Quaid setting. Kevin has CJ and Fred. We will see, then next year (2010) BM dominates everyone in Orlando and the state.

well that thing about angel being the best player in the state but not being able to win a state championship.... the word on the street is he might be moving which would put him in some school in district 15. could be scary!

dade doesnt have strong middles and all-dade doesnt really go by position, so here are my votes for preseason favorites 1st and 2nd team:
1st team Angel-HML Phil-Palmetto Mac-Palmetto Alex-SW Andre-SW Denzal- if he ends up playing Richard-SW
2nd team Matias-Palmetto Mo-Killian Mike-Varela OH- Sunset Adrian-Palmetto Julian- Coral Reef Julio- Coral Reef
