i am hearing lots of talk about douglas for this upcomming boys season. but if i'm not mistaken their setter graduated. does anyone know who the new one will be?

I don't think they finalized that position. There is a few options they will explore when they start.

and to whoever posted this (interested) im setting for douglas this year. ive previously been playing middle for douglas and sons and have not been very comfortable playing it cause im lefty. i kinda got forced there because of my size. i started training a few days ago w. deana newman. shes starting from step one and teaching me everything i need to know. its gonna be tough but i really need to get the basics down within the next few weeks. especially if i want to set club. and im not the big red goofy kid. im the other middle.  |

Im in agreement with john, jessie has the best hands in maybe the state lol he only had bout 15 doubles as a middleblocker

JP you cant talk about doubles cuz i saw you at regionals and you were terrible. So dont criticize people that want to play setter until you learn how to play it buddy.

chill with the hostility d**n. ya were gonna be running one of the nastiest offences in the state weezy if jesse learns how to set decent. with me charlie brown on the outside. big red in the middle and aaron klein on the right, everyones done. should be a good season ;D

jay, you might not want to start talking crap just yet. 1. that isnt that nastiest team out there 2. jesse has to learn to set first and i dont see that coming very easily to him and 3. i would like to know how good you actually got because you bailed out on the sons in the end... so you must not have had lots of practice?
and just letting you know charlie brown is not all that good, he hits balls out more than in. there will be some very athletic teams that are going to be good all around

Charlie Brown a good player  yeah he does hit a lot of balls out (90%) and big middle --yeah true but cant really hit unless the set is perfect. And for that guys you need some defense which you dont have it and the set--new setter!!!! Good luck with that. But who knows, will see what happens good ole douglas i would like to know how good you actually got because you bailed out on the sons in the end... on that comment that is true!!! |

I know the players from Douglas very well- they are all a great bunch of guys and they should be a good team, however, they must get the setter issue resolved. I understand they have a few options. Also, I believe all of the starting team has been playing club (sons) since the last. "JAYDOUGLASOH" should stop opening his mouth and wait for the season to start- It is a long time away

I knoe how every kid at douglas plays good and no matter wat there ganna be good jay is nasty and hes an awesome passer ... charlie brown is a good hitter and got alot better over the summer... big red is def best middle in the state... arron the right side is young but probably has one of the sickest serves i noe and he can pound the ball ... jesse needs work on setting since hes new to the spot but hes determined to get better soo u never noe what could happen there... all round team there ganna be sick and are def in contention for that state title
