but gold was also really good then too, im pretty sure they beat the sons with collin nick tanner and the rest of that team. its safe to say that both teams have been consistently good for the past couple years, can't we just leave it at that?

youre right gold did have a very good team that year but im sure that sons won the regionals that year in the third game 16-14. its nice to see that the clubs are finally starting to steady out talent wise and it should be a great year

Club competition this year will be great. You have Gold, Sons and OBV (just starting out). I hear Longwood has a club too. As we all know club is a greater way to improve your game, go to national competition, and be seen by college scouts. However, there are a lot of great players not taking advantage. This is so true in the miami area. The part that sucks is the cost. But all clubs have fundraisers and payment plans. In order to make Florida better nationally- all you guys not playing club should think about it.

2 years ago when gold won every division easily in 2. 1 or 2 of the divisions it was golds 1s team vs their 2s. also the year of kyle and gustavo yes you won florida regionals but who cares about florida regionals when gold dominated everyone in east coast! and also that year i remember when in that hockey rink tournament gold 16s (which are 18s now) played gold 17s(year above of course) and it went to 3 intense games with 17s gold winning. then next match was finals with 17 gold for sons 18s which had gus and kyle. and it went to 3 with gold 17s barely losing!! thats a age under

florida sons 18s knocked orlando golds 18s out at junior olympics when both teams faced each other in a challenge bracket. Sons stayed in the gold bracket when knocking orlando gold off.

I think we only beat them once that year. At nationals they had like a 4-8 record and we had like a 6-6 record except they won the big games when it mattered. That was a very talented team.

Nobody is better than Angel. He is the best in the state and probaly one of the best in the country. He was unstoppable in California. Ian will probaly be second, hes a good kid and plays well but not dominant and a game changer like Angel.

There was so much talk about him by other teams from California, Hawaii and Mexico (players and coaches). In fact, other players came over to just see him. He even played injured. He was amazing.

The sons 17's are overrated. all they have is height and the orlando gold 17's almost lost to a 6 man OBV team with a 5'6" outside hitter blocking their opposite. I believe that the 17's will go down to OBV and Son's.

The setter for OBV tops my list for setters. Great hands, Athletic & a Lefty.
