the winner of gibbons st thomas in districts will go to states... the regional match would be against archbishop mcarthy or cypress bay so look for sta or cg in the state tourny

I agree Killian and Palmetto both want it really bad. Our game was really good even tho walter didnt play but i dont think that made a big difference because the one game that Walter played was the first game we won against them so i think its gonna come down to who wants it and whos on top of their game that day. GO PANTHERS!!!!

ok i see here a lot of talking about kilian and palmetto. But dont see anything about s.w...im not a s.w fan or anythig, but i think you people should give credit to them too...i see the district 15 winnin s.w, they got no competition...so fo region 8 will be s.w and who else? what do you guys think? I dont think so, S.W. beat sunset pretty bad last time out. I think they have a good shot of making it to states.

after watching the spring sting i think it's either going to be lyman or olympia winning states, which ever wins that region

completely agreed.
lyman and/or olympia should have joined in the spring sting to show those down south teams whats really up. because now all gibbons is going to do is talk junk about how their only loss is to Brother Rice, Illinois.

gibbons wasnt even all that good. i think their setter number15 carried the ball alot wen he sets. tc did pretty good against them and they were playing with a ds setting that hasnt set all year long. they were good but not that good

Well Gibbons will see BM and Olympia at their tournament next week. Pools should be out tomorrow or Monday. Lets see how it's seeded. My Guess is... #1 CG #2 Olympia #3 Bishop Moore #4 St. Thomas
Cypress Bay or Chaminade could be the fourth seed if not St. Thomas Should be fun no matter how it is seeded. The two best teams end up playing each other at some point in the tournament no matter what Round / Pool

By this post I'm assuming if it's not a quick slap at the ball, it's a carry. Gibbon's setter has good hands and are very clean indoor hands. I have no idea what you are talking about. I am actually quite surprised that someone would say that.

i thought his hands were pretty slick. definitely a good setter, but i can see why someone would think he carries the ball...he doesn't square to his hitter, he basically squares to the backline at all times....wierd? yes. does it work? seems to.

That's the only knock I have on him. It's a bad habit that every setter has every now and then but he doesn't do it every time. Even when he doesn't square up it is almost always in the right spot. I disagree with the carrying thing, however.
