The charity game between Columbus & Belen Jesuit raised over $6000 for Castaways Against Cancer.
Over 550 t-shirts were sold with an attendance of 800.
The charity game was the idea of Alex Lastra setter for the Columbus HS team. His inspiration was his mother's recovery from cancer several years earlier.
Belen Jesuit won the game in 5.
Pictures forthcoming.

Wow! Great job done by both teams. That result really exemplifies what high school sports is all about. I imagine those players will remember that game as much as they will earning a district championship. 800 people at a volleyball game? I would be interested to see what the attendance was for the FHSAA state series games last year at TCreek. I hope that more schools in central Florida will follow that example. Congrats to Colombus and Belen Jesuit! Thanks for posting the good news.
