I have updated the scoreboard page with match results. I don't have individual game scores just know who won the match.
Will have game scores later tonight.
Working with BMCHS tomorrow to update the web site real time.

Teams that I saw today:
University looks solid. Good setting and a go to hitter that can put the ball away.
Brother Rice. Looks like they are mixing & matching players. Probably won't see the real deal till Gold Medal bracket tomorrow and then only if pushed.
Palmetto looks good. Good digging, hitting & blocking.
Jupiter can be eratic. Should finish in silver.
Douglas. Tall. Need more consistency and could be the real deal.
Pace. Good young team. Their best games are in the future but are competitive now.
Oviedo. Better than advertised. Definitely have stepped up their game for the Sting.

well pace int much too be proud of university beat them without thier two middles....also brother rice isnt at all what everyone put em up to be. university almost beat them and they didnt have thier middles and thats the only way they beat us was by running 1's and 31's.......if they had their middles it wouldve been a different story they put up a big block......honestly brother rice isnt all that great.......

i was impressed by a lot of teams tonight, but primarily with Palmetto. they are one of the best blocking teams that i have seen in a while. i still think that if Brother Rice wants to play, then they will play but don't be surprised if Palmetto wins the entire thing.
i thought that University also looked very sharp. they are a hardworking team and Kevin is a stud. look for them to keep pressuring teams throughout.
spanish river is a pretty decent team, but it is hard to watch them and not think about how good they were last year.
Douglas has some sick talent (#23, who is only a sophomore) but they are young. Same thing with Pace, although i was impressed with their effort against University.

i wasn't impressed by palmetto at all.
i was shocked that BM made it to the finals.
and, i wish the competition would have been better.
(winter springs, lake mary, lyman, olympia)

yea i really thought that palmetto left alot to be desired...they took bishop moore the first game and then started to fall apart in the last two...they let danny g's energy get the whole team down...and they started making dumb errors...not knocking bishop moore because they were playing sick especially danny g...it wasnt only his skills but the fact that he yells so much and has so much energy gets into the heads of the palmetto players and gets them down..
i was also dissapointed with cardinal gibbons in the second game of their match against brother rice...the first game was close for the first half with a cardinal gibbons outside pueluching a brother rice right back but they just fell apart...in the second game they didnt even look like they wanted to be on the same court as brother rice...
brother rice did impress me by their sound fundamentals and their nasty blocks....alot of their sets are pushed too far outside but their nasty outside has gotten used to hitting from behind his head and is a very smart player...doesnt always try and kill the ball..instead plays with his eyes and pushes the ball to open spots in the corners...
all in all was a decent tournament...wouldve been better with some more competition but you can never get all the great teams in one tourney until the state tournament at the end of the season...
