I saw Columbus and Palmetto both won in three against stronger sided teams in there district, any thoughts? who was there? If I am correct, SW won in three, Columbus dominated as usual although scores are close, Palmetto got lucky last night scores were very tight!

Well I will keep this short since some people don't like essays on here... First of all Columbus Defeated Coral Park 25-21, 25-19, 29-27 Victor Cereijo 11kills, Rakph Rey 9 kills, Christian Maribel 7kills Columbus 2-0 vs CP Second Palmetto Defeated Varela 25-22, 29-27, 25-19 Kyle Schulz 13kills 10 digs, Kory Schulz 14 kills, Michael Palmar 43 assists Palmetto 2-0 vs Varela I wouldn't call a victory in 3 lucky by any means especially if the game was away for Palmetto, Coral Park was hoping for a better performance doesn't look that way...Stop ripping on teams and saying there overrated, I am looking forward to Columbus schedule coming up some big games on the line...
Homestead won again!! Killian is 7-3 whats the scoop on them, Is Palmetto still a favorite there??
What about over SW do you guys think they will come out on top again?? Sunset will they get better or Braddock or Ransom??
That is all that was on the paper this morning, I looked on Florida Volleyball.com Columbus, Southwest and Palmetto have only lost to teams outside Dade-County Pretty impressive and some good wins last night!

Not really Dave. If by a good game you mean a close game, maybe. But if you mean two teams competing at a high level or two of some of the top teams in the state, not at all! Two average teams with decent records due to very weak schedules thus far

palmetto at columbus tonight sw at braddock tomorrow night coral park at varela tomorrow night @ Palmetto VS Columbus This should be a great game against two teams that are having a good season, I give the edge to Columbus because they have played harder matches but Palmetto seems to be clicking lately, Edge Home team...any thoughts any one else on who has the Better Setter? Better Middles? Passing? OH? Should be a great game regardless if they both come out of the gates...Palmetto should not be counted out of this one they have beaten Varela twice and those are the only two losses Varela has! @varela VS Coral Park IF Varela can beat CP then CP is Either over rated or Varela is as good as they are and gives Palmetto and that Weak district better credit and a bit more respect then what they have garnished, Varela has lost twice to Palmetto and CP plays Palmetto next week...I think Varela can pull this out stronger defense but they don't have they height advantage, should be a great game as well...Varela for real or CP overrated? Statement game for Both?? and District?? @sw VS Braddock SW should come out better this go around, hopefully they figured out that identity crisis they are having, I feel that District is up for grabs I mean Braddock took them to five last time they met up but SW has the edge Diaz will figure them out and get a good line up even if its an AWAY game for them!

This game is still going on but this is a great game! Colombus barely took the first game(the scores are about right, not exact) 25-20, the second palmetto was up and Colombus came back but palmetto took it 25-22, and the third palmetto had a handle on the entire match but they choked and lost 29-27...
Colombus is a small team and so palmetto kept them in check with their blocks, Colombus didn't know what to do...so I think that if Colombus plays a big team (McCarthy/DP/s.ridge) I don't think they wil fair to well..they're a solid team none the less

Columbus over Palmetto 25-22 18-25 29-27 25-23
Must have been a sick game, wish I coulda seen it. Props to Palmetto for going away n putting up a fight, too bad they blew that 3rd set. Props to Columbus for closing out some close sets.
I don't expect either team to really contend to win the state title but they r both top ten teams I think.

I don't like Palmetto(School), but I have a lot of respect for there Coaches and Players, so I think its time to give them so credit where credit should be do, they lost there setter in the start of the year and weathered the storm, hes back and they are starting to click, if they can figure out there serve receive they have a good shot at getting to States, Yes defeating SW this year is very possible, There OH's are really good, one is solid all around there other hits hard, there middles got alot of height, that black kid is gonna make some noise by the end of the year. Columbus great ball control team, they got rattled yesterday and I think Palmetto gave them back the game, maybe nerves not sure what happened but Columbus has some very weak points there a small team but great ball control, no idea how they broke down yesterday, good job on the coaches for scouting well, Columbus runs a 6-2 which hurts them in my opinion one setter is alot better then the other and it showed last night, Palmetto had there way with that block but Columbus managed to pull it out, I felt this was a game that shouldn't have left the hands of Palmetto, This might be a sign that there district is weak in competition so they aren't used to closing a good team(Not great) Columbus in no way is overrated, but they showed that when they are at 100% they are beatable, Palmetto will only get better, when I looked at there schedule they have a game against Coral park and GMACS to grow against higher level teams which will help them in the long run, Palmetto is not a bad team and could make a run down the stretch if they can fix there serve receive, Columbus is hurting losing Odio and its gonna come back to get them, now like I stated Columbus what they lack to beat those teams with Height, AMHS, Seminole, DP, Douglas is hitting, Defense will get them far but I don't think its enough to win them states, they have the best ball control in Dade-County hands down, If Palmetto could have controlled there serving at the end and capitalized on some passes Palmetto could have snatched this victory, hopefully this makes them stronger and doesn't hurt there confidence, palmetto playing the way they did last night adds a new competitor into Miami-Dade, GMAC's should be a fun one! It was a packed house last night and I got to see some of the game, I missed the 4th set so not sure what happened, I heard Palmetto made a late run but missed key serves, but what they struggle in is easily fixable, I saw Homestead there and it was nice to seem them cheer on a team in there district, usually you see district teams cheer against each other...Overall I liked what I saw from both teams and was Impressed by Palmetto and the set they won they dominated and dominated most of the 3rd, Columbus is a team that kept fighting and battled to take the victory, they have more experience against better teams so they know how to close right now..

Varela down 2 sets to 0 and comes back to beat CP! Congrats Varela!
Looks like CP might b getting better, sucks that they couldn't finish. Still don't expect them to compete with Columbus but at least they r turning into a decent team.
CP was way overhyped preseason n lost some bad games early. I think they might actually b a little underrated now however, finally starting to get on track. They might not make a lot of noise but look for them to give some good teams a little trouble
