The coach and setter were not there against Varela. Both are appealing suspensions. For the record, Varela's setter did not play either. Disciplinary action.

Which setter for Varela, the better one or the setter that can't set an outside ball to save his life, they run a six two, one setter has really good hands the other needs some lessons

Second to Last week of the Regular Season guys,
Some big match ups this week
Wed APR 20 #1 vs #2 McCarthy vs Columbus
Well, this one looks big on paper. Best of Broward vs Best of Miami-Dade. Catholic School Championships. Doesn't get any better than this.
Sunset vs Varela - Varela having a breakout year playing one of the traditional Miami-Dade powerhouses
Seminole Ridge vs Cardinal Gibbons - Seminole Ridge looking to stay perfect vs traditional powerhouse Cardinal Gibbons

the BIG game is definitely AMHS vs. Columbus. It will show what each team is made of PLUS it will give some insight on other schools. For example, if AMHS absolutely destroys Columbus then Columbus will drop in opinion on how they rank in the chase for a State Title. They would drop behind teams like BM who played AMHS pretty well and River too. Don't forget Columbus already lost to BM. But, if Columbus does very well (or even wins) then I believe BM would jump even with AMHS or even move to State favorite. I hope Columbus wins to put AMHS in their place. I am not even from Columbus. I know a lot of other people north and south feel the same way. GO COLUMBUS

More like "MASSIVE" game, Columbus struggled against Palmetto because Palmetto had really good blocking so AMHS has a advantage there, but they have a good coach who prob knows that is there weakness so they will build on it, I think Columbus has good ball control and can compete with AMHS there, Columbus did not have there best OH against BM so that win for BM is not as big as it really was, yes one player can make a difference...I think the 6-2 hurts Columbus, as much as I would loveeeeeeeeeee for Columbus to win and help teams that have played well against Columbus, but AMHS and the "Transfers" will overwhelm them to much, what AMHS should do is bench there "transfers" for one set to show how much a difference they make cause Columbus would win that set, then other game see what happens, if columbus takes a set off from AMHS then it will help everyone know that it is possible to beat them and we know what is needed to beat them or "how" to beat them...I am not from Columbus either but would like to see them win...do i think its possible no, AMHS in three easily...when you stack a team of transfers its kinda tough..now Columbus can prove me wrong I hope they do, I like that team and what they have going for them...they need to dig down play a perfect game and rely on that defense..AMHS attack them in the middle and throw there setter out of sync pick your spots...sentence DELETED BY DAVE CROWDER...Columbus is the better Catholic school atleast they follow the rules!!!!!!!!! So on that note Columbus 1 AMHS 0

What rules are you talking about? A Columbus coach can walk up to YOUR team in front of YOUR coach and ask YOUR players if they want to come play for Columbus- that is no secret. If you look and see how many players actually live in the area of Columbus, Im pretty sure you wont find many. That goes for all their sports.

random question, what was it that happened with lyman?

not sure anything ever happened to Lyman....many people believe that Lyman lucked there way into winning the state tourney by beating the best team in 5.
Lyman state title is comparable to Villanova's NCAA title in basketball when they beat Geogretown with Patrick Ewing. But alas many of you were not even born when Ewing was playing in the NBA.
