The first tournament after the high school season at lyman high school. which clubs are attending for different age groups ? predictions ??

Orlando Gold teams will not be there. They are hosting their own tournament at the convention center in conjunction with USAV FL Girls Regionals.

whom are they going to play when everybody else is playing in the different tournament.

who is orlando gold going to play this weekend when 99.9 percent of the teams in all age divisions are plying in longwood tourney ?
oh well, they have more than one team. might play each other.

The pools for the gold tournament are on aes under the girls regionals. 18-15 has two teams plus all the gold teams. Not very impressive. There are 5 14's teams which is a little better. Why are we doing two tournaments on the same weekend?  |

Why are we doing two tournaments on the same weekend? Well Longwood hosts a tournament on the first weekend of the club season every year, which is this weekend. So I guess gold thought it would be a good idea to host a tournament the same weekend. It sucks for all teams because there now spilt up between two tournaments, but it's even worse for the gold team. Not so much the younger ones because there are still 5 teams there, however there are 6 at Longwood. It sucks even more for the older gold teams because they have to play against only each other and volley frogs and JJVA, who are both terrible, where as there are 14 teams at Longwood for the older age divisions. I just really wish all the teams could be at one tournament... |

The gold tournament was scheduled first, then longwood came along with one for a lower price.... so not golds fault. should have been more teams at the gold tournament. although not very competitive, when they saw 17 black playing the girls teams swarmed the court wanting to see it. if there was more competition it could have been great advertising.

Russ Williams and Longwood VBC hosted yet another quality tournament. Lots of teams and good competition. We look forward to this Longwood Tournament every year. Thank you for continuing to host this tournament.

Russ and Longwood are a joke. They loose more and more players to gold every season. All Russ cares about is his Lyman kids. He will be kicked off the USA volleyball board soon. Wait until his Lyman players start to leave his nutsty program to go and play for state championship programs.

why would anyone go away from TRUE coaching, if it does happen it would be called recruiting. hasn't happened yet in the 10 plus years he has been there so if it does happened everyone would know what happened there...everyone knows how good of a coach he is. just ask anybody that has either played for him or against him. im guessing this "state championship program" must be from central florida since only three teams in central florida have ever won states and close enough to lyman to "leave his nutsty program to go and play for state championship programs..", lyman-tc and bm being the most recent ones. russ is a true coach, unlike others that have talented athletes transfer to their school and claim to be good coaches, good try bud. i guess some wanna be coaches just need that reassurance to be "good coaches" they need talented players to transfer to win states and to help themselves sleep better at night ahah... but reguardless this "state champ programs" obviously have won states whether it is to recruiting or coaching, continue doing whatever it is that your doing because its working. just makes it that much better when you lose. lets see if you have the balls to say who you are, if not leave it all on the court.
