Last I checked Cuba is a communist country and you are not just allowed to come and go as you want. I am pretty sure that the US considers Cubans that float over on rafts to be illegal immigrants and require them to get papers allowing them to stay in our country. I am sure Castro would not be happy knowing that his volleyball player defected to Miami, even though Miami might as well be Cuba these days

I wasn't putting anyone down. I just hate it when people say stuff that isnt true. 3rd in the nation is simply a false statement.

ok school is in session:
Cubans unlike any other type of foreigner, is very much different. Yes the rule of touching dry land is very true. its not a fairy tale and I admit to having two of my cousins about 6 months ago build a boat in cuba and float over here. Scariest yet happiest moments in there lives. they risk losing there lives in search of a better one. Once here the U.S gives them work permits faster than you can imagine for anyone. they can have whats called a residence, but dont necessary have to become a citizen. NO OTHER IMMIGRANTS CAN DO THIS. There are collegiate cuban players with out citizenship playing and attending U.S colleges because its just what U.S has worked out for Cubans.

I don't recall anything in any of my posts putting down FL Sons 17s team at all. All I did was correct the person who said only 1 team has done better, when he responded by rephrasing his statement so I could better understand. I also simply asked why the two teams don't combine. So I do not understand why someone (not using their name) is calling me out like I was being a prick. Yes, I have a year of "Assistant" coaching experience. Am I a good coach? No, I actually think I am a terrible coach at this point and I'm not even sure if I want to be one so when you comment on my coaching or the future of it, you are only going along with what I think of it myself. Sorry for pissing you off, whoever you may be but it was not intended. Congratulations to the FL Sons 17s team.

"go team" and nick--all i am saying is that you guys are putting the team down because they are saying they won 3rd in the nation. They did get that even though is under club. I never mention anything about nick being a bad coach since i really don't know who the person is. All i am going is by what was mention in this blog. And it sounded like you (goteam) were really putting a team down because of the club or open issue. And then saying that it was all one player, i disagree with that. If you took this the wrong way, i am sorry but you can see how little things get out of hand. Everyone in florida should just be happy no matter what team they belong to! A team from your state did well at JO's and that was the point being made. But you can see the maturity of certain people when things don't go their way. Lets just all be a team and get along

i wasnt talking about what i said. but you went off on nick sayin he was jealous and doesnt know what he was talking about and that he has never coached and nuts like that. that shows alot of immaturity on your part

yo congrats sons, 3rd place is hard to get in club, considering that the top 7 or 8 teams in club get shafted and dont get to play open because of one thing or another... no matter what anyone says, 3rd place is raw, and you got a medal! more than any boys team in florida can say since 04'. just bring it home next year and no one will say anything... how did mo do up there?
