im on the sons 16's n i have a few things 2 say... 1..it was a great tourney despite the terrible reffing.. 2..its ok 2 give the reasons y u lost but don’t start saying how much the other team/club is a bunch of pansies and got lucky 3..why are people saying that were going 2 get spanked because we played 1 bad tourney? so were missing our best outside and another one of our outsides rolled his ankle... we had nothing to work with..So our libero played middle...our middle played right side..and our right side played outside... no one knew what to do.. besides that we had a lot of communication errors and are still trying to get our chemistry down...remember we have only been playing together for 2-3 months... land lastly there wasn't one team at the tourney that beat us, we beat ourselves. We made to many stupid mistakes and communication errors and we let a few bad calls get to our head. but when we step on the court at oj's, expect to see a new team.

bad calls are always going to be there so nobody should complain about refs....secondly, sons have come a LONG way considering its the third year running its program. at the summer slam Gold 17s 1 beat us (sons 17L) and we simply wanted revenge. we worked hard for it and deserve the win. and no me saying we deserved the win doesn't make them a bad team. they ALWAYS give us a fight and i kno they will do very well in JOs. GL to all the teams going to nationals this year. lets give florida a good rep.

Major props to the Sons 15's. I watched the game against the Gold 16's black on saturday, which the Sons won. The setter ran a great game. the right side hitter (44) was awesome. and the outside (I forgot his number) was great. They really impressed me. I heard they also beat the Gold 15's in finals on sunday. Congrats.

Thanks to REG. Finally someone notices what might be the most underrated team in the State. Read some of the other posts about "best freshman" in the State. Everyone, everywhere have all these great players. No one mentions any of the Sons 15's. Yet, the Sons 15's won the Florida Boys' Festival in January going 4-1, went 6-0 at the Lyman tournament, won the Silver bracket at the East Coast Championships going 7-1 (The one loss was 25-23 / 25-23. Only Pace Bootlegger, an Open Team, had a better record.) and won the Florida Regionals going 5-1. Oh and by the way, they probably had the most difficult pool of the weekend with 3 matches against 16's teams on Saturday. Only losing the 3rd match without much left in the tank after beating OG 16's Black in 3. I know, we read that OG didn't have everyone this weekend, Sons 15's didn't have their middle either. Everyone has the same issues at just about every tournament. All age groups from 14's to 18's. Everyone has missing or injured players. You play with what you have and hopefully everyone who is there can pick up the slack. Finally, the setter is Eric Koscs (only setting since the high school season started in February and was an outside until then) and the outsides are Aaron Klein and TJ Jurko.

I think you are wrong---Is Aaron Klein the same player as the freshman from douglas?. I know I read about him in the "best freshman" site. Great going Sons-15, especially beating Gold 16's- look forward in seeing you guys at JO's

Sorry, you are right. Re-checked the posts. Both Aaron who is from Douglas and Eric who is from Archbishop McCarthy were mentioned after 6 pages of posts and then the posting string ended.
The real reason for the post was to get the team noticed after what they've accomplished, not really about the individuals. Just letting REG know who he was watching and giving props to.
Wasn't trying to start an argument. All of the OG teams and all of the Sons teams have done well at the various tournaments, but the Son's 15's have been the most consistent of all the Florida teams this year in terms of results. Doing very well in every event that they've played regardless of missing or injured players, yet no one seemed to notice and provide some props until REG did. I believe that 1 of the OG teams earned an Open bid and the Sons 16's earned an Open bid this year. Both have received their share of props in the posts. (As well as some unwarranted trash talk.) The 14's from Tampa have done exceptionally well at every tournament in which they've played too, won Gold at East Coast and an Open bid. The difference has been that they've received raves since back in Janaury. Sons 15's, no so much.
And unfortunately, the Sons 15's won't be at JO's because too many of the players had other commitments. So Regionals were their JO's.

Hey Sons 15s fans--i am sorry to hear about no JOs. That is a shame, especially since your team looked so good at Virginia and Regionals. I saw the game when you beat the OG-16-black. great game from everyone. Unfortunately my team didn't do so well. hey, you have this one player with the coolest serve. I tried to do it and I almost took my coaches head off. Again, sorry about JOs. Next year at 16s
